Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will be experienced in leading and performing embedded software requirements definition, top-level architecture, software design, programming, development, integration, test, verification, life-cycle support, and documentation using an approved DO-178B/C process. The Senior Embedded Software Engineer must be capable of working both independently and in a team environment, sometimes with remote team members. The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will also support software development proposals, resource planning, and project planning efforts. The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will typically work with other engineering disciplines, such as electrical, mechanical and systems, to ensure that the embedded software will accomplish the design goals for a particular product or system. The Senior Embedded Software Engineer will be supporting design, development, modification, and enhancement of Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) and related embedded systems for aerospace industry and defense customers.
Required:
BS Degree required must be a Technical, Engineering or Science related degree
Desired:
MS or post-graduate course work in the software design and development discipline
Continuing education course work in DO-178B/C
Required:
Over 5 years embedded software design, development, test, and documentation using a structured process such as DO-178 or MIL-STD-498.
Strong C+
programming knowledge and experience.
Desired:
7-15 years successfully leading and performing embedded software architecture, design, programming, development, integration, test, verification, life-cycle support, and documentation using an approved DO-178 process.
Experience successfully developing software using Agile software methods.
Working knowledge of Object-Oriented design and implementation.
Ada programming knowledge and experience.
DO-178B certified Real-time Operating System software development expertise
